BECKY WILDE
Where learnt to row
World Class Start, Bath
Education
Queen’s College, Taunton
University of Bath
Notable performances
Becky started rowing at the end of her first year at university where she studied Sport and Social Science.
Before that she had spent 10 years as a swimmer, swimming internationally for Wales during that time. Her first memory of rowing was watching Helen Glover and Heather Stanning at the 2012 London Olympics and hearing them in their interviews afterwards talking about the ‘Start’ programme. That memory stuck with her and she decided she would try rowing as a ‘back up plan’ once she was done with swimming. She eventually switched sports in 2017 whilst at Bath University, a Start Centre location.
