Notable performances

Annie played premiership netball at Millfield in Somerset and went on to Loughborough University to try and play internationally.

However, at university she was given the opportunity to try something entirely new in rowing and before long that became her main sport.

She rowed at Nottingham Rowing Club and trialled for GB for a few years but was never able to quite break through into the senior team. She decided to give it one last shot and moved to Henley in 2022, spending her days honing her talent on the river at Leander Club. This is where she finally achieved her dream of putting on the GB kit and racing, making her debut in the 2023 season.

She stroked the GB women’s eight throughout 2023, winning gold in Lucerne at World Rowing Cup III, silver at the European Rowing Championships and secured Olympic Qualification with a fourth place finish at the World Championships. As a new project in the 2023 season, the women’s eight is very exciting and something that is still building momentum. Annie is very proud of what they have done so far and hopes to be a part of what it can achieve in 2024.
