The Leander Juniors traveled to Boston Lincolnshire for GB Junior Trials last weekend February 18th /19th.
Leander had five scullers racing over the same 5k course that the Seniors raced over last week.
Racing in single sculls in difficult tailwind conditions the young Leander boys raced well and achieved some positive results.
Byron Richards came 2nd overall, Nathaniel Gauden 4th, Freddy Foxwell 15th, Nicholas Didaskalou 17th and Archie White 22nd
The next day the athletes were put into double sculls based on their ranking in the single.
Byron Richards had another good race to come 1st, Nathaniel Gauden 4th, Freddy Foxwell 7th, Nick Didaskalou 10th, and Archie White 14th.
Leander’s Junior coach, Jonathan Jackson said: “It has been a solid weekend and we have achieved some encouraging results. Next up we have Hammersmith Head where we will race in the quad. Well done to everyone who raced”.
