RACE REPORT: THE MET

Leander Club’s development squad raced at The Met Regatta at Dorney Lake recently

The M8+ of Tom Ballinger, Nick Farrell, Dmytro Mikhai, Ryan Todhunter, James Vogel, James Robson, Dan Graham, Peter Lanchashire coxed by Wilf Le Brocq, took the win in the Championship event. This win was special for the club to share and enjoy the success with Dmytro Mikhai who was racing for Leander Club for his first time having joined us from Ukraine.

The W4x was also successful on Saturday with Jess Martin, Michelle Truax, Ella Toa and Xanthe Weatherhead and on Sunday with the composite crew with Leeds of: Rosa Thompson, Kathryn Mole, Natasha Harris-White and Anna Grace.

Nathaniel Gauden from our Junior squad was racing in a GB junior composite crew with Matt Long, Josh Mathews and Jacob Ioras in the Championship senior M4x event and raced well to take the win in a close race.

Well done to everyone who raced and many thanks to the Met Regatta volunteers for putting on a great regatta.

Next up for our development squads is Henley Women’s Regatta on 17th-19th June and Marlow regatta on 18th June.
