6.30pm to 9.45pm (the Main Bar will remain open following the formal proceedings)
Meet the Athletes Evening 2020 and a chance to hear from those who are preparing to compete in Tokyo.
PROGRAMME FOR THE EVENING
The evening will follow our well established and highly successful formula.
6.30 pm Complimentary reception drinks will be served and you will have a chance to meet all the athletes.
7.15 pm We will move promptly to table where the athletes will be introduced before the service of a three-course meal.
Members will share their tables of ten with past, present and future Leander Olympic champions and medallists. There will be two athletes per table and they will move after each course, ensuring you all have a chance to meet as many as possible.
9.15 pm The athletes will speak and take questions. Steve Williams OBE, double Olympic gold medallist and four time world champion is hosting the Q&A with Club Captain Jack Beaumont, Vice Captain Holly Nixon and Olympic silver medallist Karen Bennett and the other athletes in attendance.
9.45 pm Athletes depart, Main Bar remains open until 11pm
MENU AS FOLLOWS:
Oxtail croquettes with celeriac remoulade and kale

Tornado pork fillet with creamed potatoes and roasted root vegetables served with pancetta and savoy cabbage

Tahitian vanilla bavarois with brown butter caramel sauce and crushed hazelnuts

Coffee and chocolates
Special diets can be accommodated but please contact the office in advance of the evening to make your request.
BOOKINGS
Tickets are £55 a head for a three course dinner and a reception drink, allowing guests to purchase their own table wines as they require.
These events always fill up quickly and bookings can be made straight to the Club office with card payment.
Members are very welcome to bring guests.
